OUTSIDE SURGERY
Outpatient surgery is becoming more and more important; many smaller operations can be carried out under local anesthesia. This saves several days in hospital, surgery and follow-up care are in one hand.
We specialize in it. Numerous operations have already been carried out to the utmost satisfaction of our patients. Pain-free, post-operative risk of infection and secure wound healing are our main focus.
We are also happy to advise you on operations that have to be carried out in a hospital (e.g. artificial joint replacement, adjustments, etc.), whereby we can fall back on a great deal of experience.
X-RAY EXAMINATION
The X-ray examination is particularly suitable for showing the bony skeleton (for example to determine broken bones or malpositions). Thanks to the use of modern X-ray equipment and relatively short exposure times, radiation exposure is extremely low nowadays. Organs that are particularly sensitive to radiation (such as the genital organs) are shielded with lead aprons or panels in order to keep the radiation dose for the organs low.
The most modern plastic bandages are used. We regularly attend training courses to ensure that we are always up to date with the latest technology. The unique, synthetic splint material combines the speed and cleanliness of synthetic with the suppleness and moldability of white plaster. The resin sets in 3 – 4 minutes. Functional stability is achieved after just 20 minutes, white plaster hardens for up to 48 hours.
Further advantages: Simple modeling, body contours can be felt better than with conventional plastic splints. Extremely light and thin thanks to a special layer construction.
ULTRASONIC EXAMINATION
During an ultrasound examination (sonography), different body regions can be displayed using ultrasound waves. The ultrasound examination is used as an uncomplicated and painless examination without any radiation exposure, especially for the initial diagnosis.
